Vodafone is putting up a 4G network on the moon, with the help of Nokia.
The reason to have a 4G network on the moon is so that the rovers and other spacecrafts landing there in the near future can communicate well with each other. 4G (LTE) (Long Term Evolution) is the next major enhancement to mobile radio communications networks.
